I leased land to Petrohawk. They paid my bonus at the same time. $2000 an acre. The land is located in subdivision of Section 44 Block 57 Township 3 Abstract 3036 also Section 46 Block 57 Township 3 Abstract 3035. I was paid a bonus of $2000 per acre. Anyone know anything about this area?

Johnny – you’re about 11.75 miles SSW of Orla… Petrohawk certainly seems interested in your area. They are currently drilling (on their 118th day… abnormally long) a horizontal-permitted location (rig activity report w/e 3-16-12), 7.4 mi SW of Orla in T&P 58-T2S-48. Also, they have approved permits 7.4 miles SW of Orla in T&P 58-T2-48 (your section); 10.0 SW of Orla in PSL 45-3 and 10.0 SW of Orla in PSL 45-10. Also, a joint venture deal recently done with Energen would encompass your area. Hope this helps. Later – Buzz

Stephen, my acres are A-3488, Block 2, Section 38, H&GN RR Survey - 14 miles NW of Pecos.

Just an FYI - we have been offered $3,000 to purchase our mineral rights last week, this week we are offered by another outfit $3,500. Of course - that means selling - which I don’t think we will ever do. Just wanted to share what is going on with the crew. Block C8-Section 25 NW/4

Just signed lease in August with CWE - 3 years primary, 2 year option. Of course I signed before being educated - so the lease options are not fantastic - but I think they are ok. Got two kids to put through college - so the temptation to sell keeps creeping in - but we ain’t doing that any time soon.

Buzz, now I am totally lost. My land is Section 8, Block 55, Township 4. I looked at the GLO Texas and on that map I find two Block 55. One is half in Culberson and Reeves Counties. I think there was a third one south of Pecos. Can you help me find my land? Maybe some drilling and I don’t know about it. Help please…

  1. Do you have the Abstract Number, i.e., A-??? or A-???

  2. If not, is it T&P Block 55, or

  3. Is it PSL Block 55?

Kreg, I received a letter yesterday as well offering to purchase my mineral interest for 3000.00 per net mineral acre. Think I’ll keep mine.

Buzz- I’m located at Section 11 Block 57 T7S abstract A-186 16.5 miles SW of Pecos, about 5 miles south of Kreg.

Scott - I have you located… at first I thought ā€˜Kreg’ was a town - HA! Kreg is ~13.2 miles SW of Pecos and you are ~16 miles SW of Pecos. May I assume you are under lease… probably w/CWE, like Kreg. Thanks for the info. Later - buzz

Good morning folks - We have two and one half sections of un-leased mineral rights to the south of I10 6-6 1/2 miles east of Balmorhea. Has anyone heard of any leasing activity in that area?
