Does anyone know if the Reeves CAD online payment system is working smoothly now? I have had problems in the past, but I would like to use it this year because I have wells in two different places in Reeves CAD and can’t seem to get them to combine them.

I have not used the online payment system lately, but in general Reeves CAD is rapidly getting the problems fixed caused by the prior chief appraiser. I still send them payments by paper check certified mail with a cover letter to have proof they got it until we know for sure they have gotten the problems behind them.
I just sent my payments online, including some very large supplemental payments for 2024. I definitely kept copies of everything and spent almost the whole day researching what they billed vs. what I show that I have. They are still very unorganized but I certainly have the paperwork to prove the huge amount that I paid!
Back in the midst of their worst times, I sent them a check by certified mail. I kept an eye on the account and they never showed receipt of payment and my check didn’t clear. When I called them a month later (to give them plenty of time), their response was that just because I had a certified receipt didn’t mean I had actually put a check in the envelope. Funny how that check was deposited a few days later.
I did recently pay my taxes using the online method, and everything shows as being paid. I definitely kept the receipt I got when I made the payment, just in case.
