Reeves County: Section 24 Block C9 A-5462 524 Acres

Hi we are new to this forum and as mineral owners. My father recently passed away and left me 2 tracts in Sec. 24 Block C9 Abstract 5462 (both tracks equal 524 acres), respectfully. My question is, can someone please help me in determining how much per acre I should expect to lease it for. In addition, if anyone has or is drilling near us? Thank you in advance, Ann.

Ann,

Several Horizontal well have been drilled around your A-5462 in the past but I don't see any activity lately.

Well # 389-33325/drilled may 2013/completion report shows 146 BOPD/10,500'/Bone Springs Formation

Well # 389-32479/drilled 2007/oil well/6000'/Tunstill(olds)Formation

Well # 389-33071/drilled November 2011/12,500'/Bone Springs Formation

Well # 389-33395/Link to Completion Report: http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/CMPL/viewPdfReportFormAction.do?method=cmplW2FormPdf&packetSummaryId=75082

Thank you Clint, that is great information, I really appreciate it. One last question, is there anyway to find out what cost per acre is leasing for in the area? Ann

Ann,

I would post that question to the other Reeves County members that have minerals in your area. Good luck with your minerals. I feel it's just a matter of time until you have some production on your minerals.

Ann, Our family trust has 10.9166 net mineral acres in Section 24 Block C-9, we had it leased through BHP who did not renew. My two cousins, I believe have the same net mineral acres. Because we held only 30+ acres it was difficult to get it leased. I was told the section is very valuable and that BHP will probably sometime in the near future make another offer. Reeves County is getting up to $3,000 per acre
