Reeves County salt water easement

I have request for approval of 8" salt water line across my land in 51. I have noted pricing of about $100 / rod. If this correct or is salt water line a bigger liability? It is for about 180 rods and must work with existing well on lot and the access points that exist now. I have included wording for access notification and liability insurance. Need to know if other important items to keep every thing clean {ie notification when line is not used to determine when abandoned). I have been told I am last one so am trying to complete as quick as possible.

Try the search feature in the upper right corner, as there have been many threads talking about easement terms. Yes a salt water line is a substantial risk and you should negotiate a good easement agreement. See the University Lands Damage Schedule for guidance, but going prices for easements are much higher than what is on the schedule. Also depends on your land. Is it desert scrub, an irrigated cantaloupe patch, or downtown Pecos?

Wade, Thanks. Land is desert with no development on site except well. Regency up their first offer to $100/rod. I also put in they clean up any contamination that happens and if it leaves the easement they are still responsible. Access must be shortest route to easement and stay in easement when working. They said that the damages is for first installation and after that if they dig they pay me damages again for length of digging but how do i know if they dig when I am not there. I included 6 rod min. damage length. If lawsuits they pay. Insurance certificates to be sent to me. Any other advise? Also I was just asked about Salt Water Well. What are pros and cons?
