I went online today to the new Reeves County tax site . I own property with 7 other relatives . My name and the relatives names are listed at 100 % ownership. Why wouldn’t it show me as 12.5 % ownership ( 1/8 of 100% ) ?
I would guess it all depends on how you came into title and if that information has been properly provided to the county officials.
Look at the legal description which should include a reference to your 1/8 or 12.5% interest in the property. The 100% is your ownership of the described limited fractional interest. For a well, the described legal interest will be your royalty decimal share and it will still show 100% below, meaning 100% of the royalty decimal.
