We just received a new DO on this well, but past topics on the site have stated the well was active back in 2022? Did they re-drill the well?

The well was completed in 2021. Check to see who the operator is on the DO. XTO just sold quite a few properties, so this could be from a new operator. Or someone found a title issue in the chain from all of the mineral owners and they are adjusting everyone so that it all adds up to 100%. Have you been paid on it for the last few years? If not, request interest.

You do not have to sign a DO in OK in order to get paid. But they do want a W-9. Many of us send a letter in lieu to confirm the decimal, ask for minimum payments of $25 and request interest if needed. Use the magnifying glass to look for the template I posted. “letter in lieu”

CAN YOU TELL ME THE AMOUNT EXPECTED WHEN TO EXPECT AND if there is anything I’m not providing that they need we leased with agreement on one lump sum for 3 years my wife did all of this stuff bfore she passed away and I have no clue I have called XTO number that I do have and tried looking up on line can’t get straight forward answers . Do you know if they sold or anything ? Any information is helpful thank you .

It can take quite a long time to get information out of XTO. Did you send your info by certified mail return receipt and include a W-9? That sets a clock to ticking. The well has been online since 2022. Your revenue will be based upon the equation: net acres/actual spacing acres x royalty x percentage of perforations in the section. The percentages are given in your post, so you have part of the info. The decimal from that equation determines how much one received each month. If the acreage was in your wife’s name, you may have a probate to finish before they will give you the proceeds. Contact them again with a certified mail request. Tell them your name, your wife’s name, and demand payment and interest back to first sales. Ask if they are missing anything to clear title. The demand for interest usually helps a bit. Be ready with your address, driver’s license and probate docs, etc.

I do not see a sale for the well, but XTO did sell quite a few wells to Santa Fe recently.
