I have a fractional interest in oil/gas wells in Howard County. We always get 2-3 offers a month from companies wanting to buy our interests but over the last few months those offers have increased in dollar amount significantly. Does anyone know of increased activity? The legal description is: W/2 of Section 38, Block 33, Township 2 North Texas & P RR Co. Survey. And S2NE and N2SE of Section 38 Block 33 Township 2 North, T&P RY CO Survey.

That is an incredibly active area. Below is a map of your section. You can see the degree to which it is surrounded by permitted and recently drilled horizontal wells. I also pulled up your decimal interest in some of the existing wells, and it is certainly an interest that carries a lot of value. By posting on here you will probably be inundated with friend requests and private messages from folks trying to buy your minerals. My advice would be to hold off on selling. If you are in a position that you are wanting to sell, then I would suggest maybe reaching out to one of the forum sponsors. Best of luck!
