Recently inherited minerals

I recently inherited minerals and am trying to learn about them and came across this forum. Any words of advice or where to start would be great. I have read mixed reviews on what to do with them. Best, G

Be very slow to do anything, you will have people trying to “help” and those will likely be the worst deals you do. Slow down if anyone pushes hard, especially slow down.

Since you are posting in Texas, minerals dont generally expire.

You will likely receive offers hoping that you have been deprived. Know what you have before selling. Ideally dont sell…

Thank you. I have already been approached by a number of companies. I am trying not to talk to anyone until I figure out what is going on!

What county and what abstract?

It says Midland, Glasscock, Upton, Reagan. I am not sure on the abstract. It says Spraberry Driver unit.

do you have a division order or prior lease that might show the abstract? Do you have production in which you could pull the tax records and pull it from there?
