My wife and her brother own the mineral rights in piece of land in Blaine County, Oklahoma ( we already sold the land itself, but kept the mineral rights).
We just this week found out that the company that has the Lease has started drilling on the property.
What can we as mineral right owners expect from this new drilling activity in terms of timeline and possible return ?

From my recent evaluations in Blaine, you can expect some pooling notifications, preceded by offers to lease that express bonus and royalty options. There are some high powered operators in Blaine so permits to drill have a good chance of realizing some horizontal well development. It is slower than other counties but there are some regulatory hurdles to jump these days over waste water disposal.
