My mother received an offer from Bull Run Resources for 100 acre land just west of Normangee. I am not familiar with the area so looking for any information. My parents have signed leases in the past without any discoveries.
Hopefully SW of Normangee! What is the Abstract? Wildfire and Vess are active in the area.
I have an offer close to Normangee as well. $500 & 1/5th. 3yr lease/3 yr option. Anybody hearing anything better? Need to establish for whom Bull Run is leasing.
Almost the same offer but for 5 years with 3 year option. Same rate for lease and royalty
Her acreage is within the “B. F. Whitaker Survey, A-31, Leon County, Texas and being the same land more particularly described in that certain Warranty Deed dated August 5, 1955 from Ernest Frankfurt to L. C. Funderburgh, recorded in Volume 231, Page 81, of the Deed Records of Leon County, Texas.”
Are you in the South half of the Survey? Also, does your family own the surface?
There is some activity in the area, good luck!
We are the southwest corner and only own the mineral rights. My mother and her sister own 25% of the 100 acres.
We received an offer from Bull Run Resources, LLC for a lease in Normangee (Madison County side). A family member has been primarily dealing with the landman for a few weeks. I can’t find out much information on this company and that’s how I landed on this forum. He’s been very secretive. We are hesitant to sign until we have some concrete information regarding who we are doing business with and be sure it’s not a scam. If anyone has further information, it’s appreciated.
@spud can you share the name of the person you are dealing with? My family has been approached by bull run as well. I don’t know much about the company or what a good rate is right now. Thanks
Cole Lucien., but just learned there’s a group of them going around to neighboring owners. Also, Bull Run is NOT an actively registered company any longer in Texas. Everything about it smells like a scam to get your royalties. Do your research and consult a legal professional if needed. He could not explain who the actual O&G company is, so I assume there is none.
