Mewbourne has applied for a 3-mile horizontal as stated above; Plum Creek 14-26 DM #1HT.
I don’t know of any 3-mile wells in Roger Mills County. From surfing the web regarding differences between 2-mile and 3-mile; for the 3-mile I’ve seen lower initial production but less monthly decline meaning overall lifetime production is close but perhaps about 5-15% less per lateral ft.
Curious to know if anyone has knowledge regarding 3-mile laterals production. Has technology improved to help level even out the production differences. I’m happy to have an oil well coming, but curious to know more.
