Question regarding Drilling in Sec.12-6N-7W

Does anyone know if there’s any drilling going on in this section? I’ve inherited this section of mineral rights. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Me and family members own minerals in Section 12, Township 6N, Range 5W. I guess we’re all in the same boat. Got the drilling permit the 8th of January 2015 and a spud date was March 1st. And was told now we have to wait 6 months? That’s a long time, my friend.

I’m not sure I understand; this is all so new to me. Are you drilling or have you leased yours? Mine is leased but I have someone wanting to buy.

I’m still kinda new to this too. You know, I would keep your minerals. Just sit on it for a while. If a company wants to lease your minerals, that’s cool. Just look for the right price. Don’t sell, but if you need money now, then that’s your choice. Yes, my minerals are leased to CLR, been leased for a few years. Now they’re drilling. They call it spud. If you know you have oil and gas, don’t sell.

This forum can tell you a lot. I’ve learned a lot from here. Some of the people on the forum here can lead you in the right direction and tell you a lot of what you need to know.

Are your minerals leased, or does someone want to buy them?

Welcome Michelle! You will find plenty of people on this forum who are new to mineral rights ownership, were new once, are old pros, and everything in between. Let us know how we can help you.

If your minerals are leased and producing, is there a particular reason you would be interested in selling?

They are leased. I don’t know if they’re producing, haven’t heard. And yes, someone wants to buy them.

It sounds to me someone wants to take your mineral off your hands. That person knows what’s going on. I would just sit tight for a while. If that person comes up with the right offer, then that’s on you. I heard a while back Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 was doing good for drilling just hang in there. My grandma had these minerals for years. She passed on, my dad got his share of minerals. Now my dad passed on, now his shares went to me. These minerals have been around for over 50 years or more.

Apache has staked the NE corner of Section 13-6N-7W with the intent to drill into Section 12-6N-7W. As I understand they are planning to file applications in the next 60 days. We will see.

Apache filed applications for Spacing, Location Exception, Pooling and Multi-Unit Horizontal Well on May 5, 2015 for Section 12-06N-07W. All applications except Pooling include Section 1-6N-7W.

Case numbers are 201502156 (Location Exception), 201502158 (Pooling), 201502159 (Spacing) and 201502160 (Multi-Unit Horizontal Well).

When they get their paperwork, documents, exhibits, etc. filed, they can be reviewed here… http://imaging.occeweb.com/imaging/OAP.aspx
