Question on letter from IPT Well Solutions

I received a certified mail letter from IPT Well Solutions about some land we have leased. The letter states they have submitted an application for a revision to a Class II UIC well for a volume increase for the subject disposal well based on recalculations of the formation porosity. It is in Weld county CO for SESE Section 34, Township 7 North, Range 63 West.

Does this mean they are drilling and is it a good or bad thing? Thank you.

Anyone have any idea what this means? Thank you.

This type of Class II UIC wells are injection wells for the disposal of Produced water which comes from other producing wells. Commonly known as a Salt Water Disposal (SWD) well. It is common to have an SWD well centrally located where they are other nearby wells that have the need for salt water disposal. I see that Bison Operating has filed permits for quite a few horizontal wells which will go across section 34. Dorado wells. They are not the well you asked about, but are good news to you once they are drilled.

Thank you! Is there any way to know when those wells will be drilled?

Not really. You can call Bison Operating and ask them but highly unlikely that they will tell you.

Thank you for your information.
