Hi there… I own land in Section 28, Block 33, Lot 11, 5.2 acres approx. Not sure if I have the rights for the minerals in my land on Section 28, Block 33, Lot 11. If that was the case, what do I need to do to get the rights of minerals on my property? Also, I’m interested to lease it or if someone can help me on what’s the best option to do right now. Sorry for all the questions; I am new on these things.
You bought the land in 2007. The minerals had been reserved previously so you don’t own any of the minerals and the only way for you to own them would be to buy them from the current owner. Since there are currently 4 producing wells in the section, I highly highly doubt they would sell and if they did it would be 6+ figure sales price.
