Received offer to sell mineral rights in Section 22-13N-17W in Custer County. What kind of activity is taking place there?
I have minerals under Foss Reservoir and have been offered $3,700ac. I’m not interested in selling, but what have you been offered? Thanks -

There is a new “Cherokee” horizontal shale play developing in the area. Lots of buyers are trying to snap up acreage. Their offers are usually lowball to start out to see who will bite. Horizontal wells can do so much better than older vertical wells, so you can just sit back and see what develops or you can ask for more if you want to sell. There is active leasing in the sections around you that are not currently held by production.

Got an offer on something we didn’t even know we were heirs to! I do not know how to go about finding out the value of or if there is any activity there. Any suggestions?
There is also a some in Marlow, OK This is all new to us. Apparently it has been sitting for 75 years!

Mewbourne just drilled the Ruben Rivers 24/13 PA well in your section. They want to buy your acreage before you get paid on the well. The early checks are the largest. You may also have royalties with Teocalli on the Page well. Contact Teocalli’s revenue department to see what you need to do to get into pay. You may have to provide affidavits of heirship, probate documents, driver’s license, etc.
Also contact Mewbourne for the new well.

I don’t have a purchase offer yet, But I did receive a letter with interest to purchase. I did recently sign a lease for mine. Custer county section 29-12N-15W. I assume something is getting ready to break loose there.
