I have received several offers wanting to buy my mineral rights in Canadian County. Sec. 8, 11N-10W. Horizontal well completed a year ago and is producing. Curious why the sudden interest.

Probably because BCE-MACH among others just filed for increased density for infill horizontal wells all around you in 11N-10W. Very common to get offers in adjacent sections. The buyer wants your young royalties and any future wells that might come from infilling in your section. What is the name of your well because I am not seeing a well going through 8-11N-10W yet.

The name is WINNINGHAM 1H-5-8-17.
Ah, I had just asked for that township on my map search. The surface location is in 12N-10W, so that makes sense. I see it now. Validus has room to drill several more infill wells to the west in your section, so between the other companies adding horizonal wells to the south, your acreage is interesting to buyers. They are likely not paying top dollar.
