Production info well in canadian county

My family owns a substantial amount of mineral rights in a new well in Section 3, Township 14N, Range 10W in Canadian County. As I understand, it went online June 2 or 3 at 3 million cubic feet a day. I think probably choked or at allowable, but I have no info if liquids are being produced. I have found nothing on OCC yet but was wondering if there is a way to find out additional info. Does anyone know if Cimarex is a slow payer? Have not received division orders and I know they are allowed 6 months, which is ridiculous but oh well (pun intended). Not much we can do on that one. Just be kinda nice to know what to expect, not counting any eggs though. Have minerals in several wells that are old and some fairly new; however, pulled hard, depleted, or shut back due to pricing, etc. Just curious to know something about this company and hopeful for Christmas… lol.

If you get in touch with Cimarex and ask for Division Order, you will be surprised how fast you get them.

Thank you so much for your replies. I do plan to contact Cimarex this week and I had already looked on the OCC website. However, nothing is published there to date. The well went online May 28 and I have received some very good info from making this posting. It’s great there is a site such as this and that knowledge and information is readily shared!!!

Cimarex is not a slow player; they are one of the better ones from my experience. Your area (3-14-10) is in a general area that is high in liquids. I own minerals in two other sections in 14-10, and over half of my Cimarex check is from liquids sales.

Yes, I found out that our well is indeed producing liquids and I have called Cimarex and they tell me they have to wait on title opinion (that shouldn’t take long; there is a long producing well on that section already) and should possibly expect payment in October. There are neighbors of mine in the Fay Oakwood area dealing with another company that has really given them the runaround. Glad to hear Cimarex might possibly be on the ball.

I might add to anyone interested that the laying of water lines in your ditch for use in frac work by any company is a payable action. If you own the property, they must compensate you for the use even if in a ditch. I am quite sure that many, many landowners have missed out on this income. The company that I dealt with had included a confidentiality clause which my attorney quickly removed. I have the best attorney in the state should anyone need a lawyer who is well informed and deals only with oil and gas for the landowner and not the oil companies.

Yes, Cimarex has laid water lines in the ditches around my farm, and they were very upfront about paying for them.

I would be interested in the name of your attorney… if you prefer to do that privately, I will “friend you” and you can provide it that way.

That is nice to hear, that some companies are good at being honest. My fight was with another company however and it was like pulling teeth. I had to deal with them on several issues and they never returned any of my calls. They responded to my attorney though, quickly!
