Is anyone else here still waiting on Division Orders for the Powell well RRC 297833? We received a tax appraisal form for Powell BD 1H Lease: 32925 from Leon Co. A.D. but have yet to receive D.O. from Comstock.
Well was completed 12-28-24. Well has been online since December so should be paying 120 days after the end of the month of first sales. Contact the Division Order Department at Comstock to inquire about your pay status.
Is there any penalty or recourse of any kind a mineral rights owner may have if Comstock fails to meet the 120 day deadline? From what I understand, they keep pushing back the date they claim the remaining Powell DO’s will be sent out.

You can send a demand letter by certified mail return receipt requesting statutory interest. You might want to let it slide for about a month and see what happens. You can still send the demand letter then.

Thank you for the good advice. We have been in contact with Comstock C.R. for the past few months now. We are still waiting for our D.O. … Perhaps I should have asked if anyone was receiving royalties still?
