Potash mining in New Mexico

Anyone know what is going on with the Mosaic potash mines in New Mexico? We have not seen any activity in over a year. Thank you.

Didn’t Mosaic close down? Or started taking radioactive waste?

Mosaic sold their New Mexico assets late last year. Or maybe it closed this month. To International Minerals Carlsbad, which means… lord knows. Seems mines will still run with the same staff. The total sale was for $30 million total, which can’t possibly be the value of the water rights that Mosaic holds, so you’d assume they mostly want to get out from under a zillion dollars of liability.

Would be kind of cool if Mosaic let ExxonMobil have a drill island right next to their mine off of 31 so some folks could get their ORRIs developed. Cough cough cough.

Don’t be surprised if ā€œsomeone’sā€ hopes come true. I know how ConocoPhillips works. They can throw 50 rigs at anything and another 100 if needed. I could send an email to ExxonMobil and they will take a look at it. I was in a pre-drill meeting with ExxonMobil in Fort Worth. The drilling supreme said there is a fault there. You are going to drill the fault. ā€œBut what if we get stuck?ā€ XTO: Drill till you get stuck. :face_holding_back_tears::star_struck::sparkles::sweat_smile::white_check_mark:. Pure raw exploration.
