NARO (National Association for Royalty Owners) OK Chapter would like ideas for what you mineral owners in Oklahoma might like to see as topics for their quarterly newsletter. That is why I posted it here in order to get a broad audience.

What are burning topics that you would like to see covered? From basic simple questions to more complex items. We want to meet your needs.

Also, if any of you are subject matter experts, are there topics that might not have been covered in the forum, but you think are important?

Would you like the newsletter to be in paper form or email form? We can do both. Email is much cheaper for the chapter and saves money, but I know some folks prefer real mail and real paper. We can do both.

Email form for me, don’t need more paper. I would like to see information about leases, clauses that benefit royalty owners and clauses that do not. In general, what to look for when a lease offer is received. Also, more information about what to do and what not to do when looking to sell mineral interests and how to handle a sale such as ways to guarantee payments without risking loss of control (like escrows, etc.).
