Pipeline: Lavaca and Gonzales Counties

Anyone mind sharing the going price per foot? Thanks!

Kevin, We are about 3 miles north of Shiner. We were offered 20¢ per foot for 2 thirteen inch lines. I believe they do not want to reseed the easement of 40 ft. Maybe be able to ask for a little more for them not wanting to reseed.

Depends on the type of line, whether they have condemnation rights, whether they want flow reversal, above ground appurtenances, where on the property they want to lay the line, etc., temp easement or permanent easement.

In my opinion, going rate is what was set by the least knowledgeable owners in the area – the ones who signed first. I want the rate set by the ones who signed last.

Each county may be different regarding amount paid per foot for a pipeline but I will give you my experiences. About 3 years ago in Nueces County I got $45/ft. First of this year in the same county, I got $65/ft. My sister-in-law just got $45/ft in Karnes County and am currently negotiating $65/ft again for another pipeline in Nueces County. I know about 4 years ago a friend in Shiner got $27 so the price should certainly be more than $20 now. Good luck.
