Has anyone had any luck getting in touch with Perun Energy regarding former UpCurve interests in Reeves County?
We have royalty interests associated with the Guy Winston 3H and Brosnan Bentley 1H wells. Specifically: Section 195, Block 13, as and Section 25, Block C-9.
I’m mainly wondering if anyone has received new division orders from Perun yet, or found an ACTUAL LEGIT direct contact #/email for Owner Relations.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Hi, I also have wells originally drilled by UpCurve. I did not receive my Sept royalty check. I have called the Prerun number:281-968-5718. It took 3 calls to finally get an email from them - today. In it they said checks are going out this week & Valley View Energy is taking over this. They also gave me EnergyLink to view, print… the statement. Unable to set up an account as you need the check amount & owner number.
This morning’s call to Prerun I did state that I was going to get an attorney involved. And I will if I don’t get my royalty check by the end of the month.
YES!! Exactly! I can definitely relate because this is basically the same runaround we’ve been dealing with. I’ve called every possible number I could scrounge up, emailed, submitted the website contact form, and have been trying like crazy just to get a legitimate Owner Relations contact and some kind of straight answer about division orders and when payments from them are actually going to start. I didn’t receive my September check either.
Hopefully we don’t have to resort to hiring lawyers for all this mess, but I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t considered it already too.
I finally had my info sent to the “ 24 h on call person” and got an email from Valley View Energy & finally got the right people/ place. I can’t out the email because I’m new to this group. I also stated to Prerun I may have to get an attorney involved. I got the email after stating this, 4 th call in 2 days.

It is not uncommon to have a delay where the acquiring company is using a third party company for royalty payments. The pay decks need to be brought over and incorporated into the Valley View accounting system, which is likely not the same at the UpCurve system. There should be no new division orders for wells which were already in pay under UpCurve. Watch the timing so you can demand interest for late payment. Keep in mind that verbal conversations and messages are not as effective, and do not leave a trail, as direct emails. Unfortunately here you are dealing with a foreign company which has made its first entry into US operations and interaction with private minerals. If the situation continues, consider sending a certified letter to Perun demanding payment.
