Imagine my surprise when I pulled this up to see what was going to be drilled and it's part of my Mom's estate! BRG unfortunately has a gas well that pays all of us (my mom's side has us three kids sharing half of the 160 and her sisters kids have the other side) about $60 every two months or so. So, it's held by production and we don't even know what the lease is as it's not in our records. They didn't contact us before filing the permit.

So, this morning I contacted BRG and a fellow working there has promised to send a copy of the lease to us. He said that they are going to try to shoehorn a straight hole in there or something to that effect and try to hit oil in the Mississippi sand which is where the producing gas well is. He said trying to drill a horizontal was't going to be possible.

I'm not so sure that they are getting the permit to keep somebody from trying to drill on the property due to their non activity on the property being held by production. It's very old, and most others around us have already signed modern leases I think. So, I'm trying to figure this one out.

I'll keep everybody advised. Anyone deal with BRG out of Tulsa?
