I’m looking to evaluate an offer. Has anyone else received any offers and what kind of terms (eg: royalty rate, signing bonus, length of contract) are others receiving?
Also, who are the major operators signing new leases in the area?
You need to be more specific with location. Offers vary across the counties as the geology changes. Too broad at the moment.
The offers are specific to Jefferson & Armstrong counties in the dry gas producing parts of Marcellus shale.
Local folks would have to answer. Only one lease has been filed in Jefferson County in the last 24 months. Most of the leasing ha been in Armstrong in that time frame. Permits are for two-three mile laterals. Most of the leases are filed as Memorandum of Lease documents so the royalty percentages are not public. Bonus amounts are private.
@Throckmorton Snyder Brothers is the only active company in Armstrong, not sure about Jefferson, as there hasn’t been any activity since 2013 in that county.
