G Win, I send a letter stating that I, Martha McMorries, elect option # and write that option out just as it appears in the pooling order. I include the pooling order reference numbers, date of the order, my mineral legal description with county and state, and operating company. Then, I sign and date my letter. I circle my election on the pooling order and send a copy of it along with my letter. Then, mail my letter and copy of pooling order certified mail with a return receipt to the return address listed in the pooling order.
Ron, good election letters and good idea to cc Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Martha: I received copies back today from Okfuskee County, Book 1040 page 409 and 417 and they were certified copies of the pooling order not the Ethel Lowry Deed. Now what…ideas?
Martha, You are awesome!!! Thanks BIGGGGGG!!!
Payne: American Energy - Woodford, LLC; McLain 31-18N-3E No. 1WH Well; NE1/4 NE1/4 NE1/4 NE1/4 (SL) of 31-18N-03E; 347 barrels oil per day, 1,436,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 9,128.
“At $65/barrel, most North America shale plays are still profitable with the current rig and well economics.” Today, drilling costs are coming down, China announced it will not increase imports from IRAQ in 2015, Putin backed down on Ukraine takeover when Russian ruble collapsed yesterday due to low oil price, Statoil will drill North Sea even if prices stay low, because UK just granted North Sea drilling tax cuts. Canada claims it can produce oil sands at $74 per barrel, but can go lower since drilling costs are coming down. Way to Go US shale drillers and service companies, Canada, Saudi Arabia, China, and UK!

Many, many thanks, Martha! Appreciate your help!
Steve, Technology is there and demand from countries like China and India will drive production. The water can be injected into the deep saline aquifer right below Payne Co., then the saline aquifer can be used to for CO2 storage. I’d post the study, but it’s more difficult than the other.
We are dealing with several family and estate deed transfers.
Enervest told my husband it would take “a minimum of 90 days” to have deeds transferred for his parent’s estate (believe in Roger Mills), and AEP told me that “they aren’t doing transfers right now, but will do it when they can” for deed transfers in my family in Payne County. All the paperwork on our end is in order. Is this typical when trying to have deeds transferred? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Melinda, Request a certified copy of your mineral deed from the Payne County court house. Call the oil company who is paying the royalty and ask to speak to the division order analyst who is responsible for your area (give your legal description). Then, in writing, mail to the attention of the name of the analyst and request their required process to change the deed over into your name. They’ll likely want a certified copy of your deed proving your ownership, so send a certified copy, don’t send them the original. Send all correspondence by certified mail with a return receipt. Reference the certified mail number in your letter of request and document all phone calls, names, dates and times… you may need it. If all else fails, call attorney Charles McBride, Stillwater, OK, (405) 624-9990 tell him I referred him. He’s a good man, he will help you.
Any thoughts from you oil/gas veterans about the new citizen’s group protesting fracking in Payne Co. as reported in the Tulsa World recently?
Steve, In PA, CHK is using some new high tech frack techniques. One is a CO2 foam. Pretty neat stuff, it compliments CO2 enhanced oil recovery and the EPA likes it. Also, China is supplying new ultra light ceramic propants that work better than sand. No water, no sand, no mess to clean up and what little waste water there is can be evaporated on site or used for stream. Don’t worry about the fracking. We are still on track for US energy independence. We’ll get there one way or another. Go USA!
Martha, I know that some cities in the Northeast (most recently in NY) have been allowed to ban fracking or are temporarily stopping it until it can be ‘studied further’. I can understand/sympathize with folks fearing earthquake activity, I just worry that production could be indefinitely stalled or halted while they battle it out. I saw a story on the news that a company has invented a giant plastic/rubber above-ground holding pool to temporarily hold the waste water - I think/hope you’re right that technology will save the industry. Once more thanks for keeping us informed
Steve, NY has some major issues we don’t have in OK. They are sitting on top of the world’s largest subway and sewage system with serves over 8.3 million people. Plus, the area is highly faulted where earthquakes can destroy large parts of the NE US into Canada. A very large area of the northeastern United States and eastern Canada, about 4,200,000 square kilometers, was shaken by a magnitude 7 earthquake on February 28, 1925. NY has an unusually high number of earthquakes caused by a ancient fragmented continent called Avalonia colliding with Laurentia, which is the NY area. Underneath Long Island is a pile of rubble caused by this collision. I believe NY should be concerned about fracking, but OK is not being placed in any where near the danger that exists in NY. Injecting disposal water into our faults has been linked to our OK earthquakes and they have determined where they can and can not inject the waste water. There’s a new stream process that can be used to eliminate the waste water and the steam can be used for steam assisted oil recovery in NE OK. New processes will allow waste water in our area to be cleaned and injected into safe sites that will recharge our oil and gas reservoirs.

I could barely pronounce the terms they used in your link let alone understand some of it but it’s interesting how much they know about the geologic history of the planet. It sounds like you feel that they will find a better way to dispose of the waste water from Payne, is this going to significantly slow production and exploration? Thanks again
Were do I find Order No. 619312, filed with the Okla Corp Commission Web Page, I have searched but can’t find it…
Thanks Ron, Merry Christmas
G Win, I would mail it to the attorney, AEP and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Merry Christmas, and thanks, Martha, Ron et al for your great help!
