Payne County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Not yet. I will have soon. Mom passed away. Didn’t realize she had them. I will be going to Stillwater soon.

Ron, I got the application to drill in Section 27 18N-1E, thank you very much. However, in the allegation of facts the commission established for a horizontal well into Section 27 Township 18N Range 1W. Does this mean I am cut out if my mineral acres are in Section 27 18N-1E? I am new to this and have no clue. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It has been over a month since I sent an exhibit “A” and emails and have not heard from the landman or company with a new lease offer. I received a call from American Energy today. Can I lease from them instead of the other? I only signed the choice of royalties paper. Is American Energy a good company??

G Win Where is your interest? What royalty amount do you want and how many acres do you have? They sent you a proposal letter and you picked a royalty amount and bonus but signed no lease?

That is 17 acres.

The lease says for 17 plus or minus acres. However, the proposal letter says they only want to lease 4.2690 net acres to be exact.

G Win, do you have a copy of your mineral deed, quit claim deed, or do you have an affidavit of heirship to prove the correct number of mineral acres you own? Maybe the landman made a mistake.

I’ll see what American is offering. Thanks for all the help.

Here’s a 2013 Map from the article below showing Chesapeake’s (CHK) Miss Lime play. Right now, in July 2014, American Energy LP (AEP) (former co-owner of CHK) is leasing in Payne County. Seriously, does anyone know why AEP, a new multi-billion dollar company, would move into our area if our area isn’t proving to be good? Thanks in advance.

Terry, Nikki Leach, an attorney in Perry, recommended a third party he used and there are some others on this forum who know third parties. Friend me.

Ron, how do I get the info on if there was a well in the N/2NW/4, and when it was drilled? Also, when it stopped. I may have some minerals in there but it depends on that information. I seem to be in a very complicated situation. Did Boone Operating drill a well in there? Unknowingly, my mother sold them a term mineral deed in 1998 for a term of three years.

Greg I hope this will help.

Martha,

What 3rd party companies would possibly be interested in leasing after an intent to drill has happened? You had made a comment about this a few weeks ago. 28 18N 1E Thanks.

We may get EOR injected CO2…

“Carbon dioxide isn’t just a greenhouse gas that federal officials want to curb: It is also highly prized by the energy industry, which injects it into aging oil fields to increase their output.”

A friend in Enid said he had heard we might see Steamflooding…

Are there any producing wells in Sec. 4 17N-1E?

There are some old wells drilled in 1986 in 4
