I am currently part of a partnership that owns about 2000 acres surface plus mineral rights, divided into several parcels. I have 25% interest in this partnership. I am thinking about severing my relationship to this partnership, and managing my 25% interest separately. I know there are advantages and disadvantages. Does anyone have experience in a similar situation? Can you tell me how it works for you, any problems you encountered, etc.
Is it possible for the partners who stay in the partnership to really make things rough for me? In what ways?
