Pad use for off lease drilling

I’m in Texas, Ward County. What if the drilling company didn’t tell you they were going to use the pad for an off-lease drill site? They are the leaseholders of my land.

They don’t have the right to do that. If they have done that, they are trespassing, and you have a great legal cause of action. You can shut them down unless they come to an agreement with you. Is it possible they pooled your lease - any portion of it - with the leases under the off-lease well? If so, then they probably have the right to do that, but you’ll have to read your lease and apply the specific circumstances.

If I were you, I’d be sure I know all of the facts before I approached the company about this matter.
