ORRI in Lea County

I just found out that we had an ORRI in S1/2S1/2 Section 33, Township 25 South, Range 35 East and S1/2NE1/4 and S1/2 Section 9, Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 and E1/2W1/2 Section 19, Township 26 South, Range 35 East containing 83.84 acres down to the base of the Pennsylvanian.

Does anyone know if there has been activity in those Sections? I am not sure what depth the base of the Pennsylvanian means. To my understanding, most of the wells that are being drilled are horizontal wells. We have had that ORRI since 1964 but we have never received any funds.

I would appreciate any assistance.

There are new leases on those tracts, which would mean that the 1964 leases don’t exist anymore, as far as I can tell. Sorry.

Base of the Pennsylvanian means to the base of the Morrow. In other words, well below all the current horizontal zones.
