Only have abstract number of lease

Hi Bill,

My mother and I recently signed a lease for mineral rights in Montague County, Tx. We have the abstract number (N.S. Ussery -824), but have been unable to find any further information such as block, section, etc. We were wondering if you could assist in this matter, and also wondering if you knew of any activity in the area. We signed the lease in May, and were told drilling would begin in July-September. Thank you in advance!

There are probably some historical documents at this site at the GLO

There might not be any blocks or sections in Montague County like there are in most of West Texas. Activity in the area can be found on the Texas Railroad Commission Web site.

There is a video on the Home page which shows you how to pull this info off the RRC website.
