Omaha Horizontal Wells - Need Help

We recently received several Division Orders for the new OMAHA wells in Carter County. These wells cross diagonally through several different sections. Sections 33, 4, 10, and 3. I am having a hard time matching our decimal interest with what is on the division orders. The operator list a tract number. When I look at the Survey/Plat there are no tract numbers to be found. Where does one find the different tracts of horizontal wells in Oklahoma? Here is the survey I am referencing:

When you say tract number are you talking about the decimal number right below the Owner number? Or a different paragraph? I have seen a few of the DO’s for the Omaha and do not see tract numbers on them.

Which section do you have? Do you know your net mineral acres and your royalty amount? The survey gives the percentage split between the sections. If so, you have the pieces to get the DO decimal.

net mineral acres/actual spacing acres x royalty x percentage of perforations in your section.

For example if you had 10 acres in section 33 at 20% royalty, then the decimal will be: 10/33 x .20 x .5603=0.0017509375

Sections 3 and 4 are not exactly 640 acres, but there is a way to figure them out.

You do not have to sign a DO in OK in order to get paid. They want your W-9 and you want to send it them! You can sign a letter in lieu instead. I always reset my minimum payment amount at $25. Here is a template. Fill in the blanks and the red items and turn them all black. You can return by certified mail return receipt to make sure you know that they received it. Keep a copy of everything that you send. 0_Letter in lieu of Division Order.docx (13.3 KB)
