Hello, We own twenty- four acres in Panola County TX. Now, there was an old oil lease that recently ran out and now, we have been contacted by a coal company to sign a new lease. Well according to the old lease my part of the family was entitled to two thirds of the revenues and another part of the family was entitled to the remaining third. Would the new company base the new division order on the old division order, or would we have to start all over? My part of the family has clear title to the property and has been the only ones paying the property taxes for the last thirty years. Where do I start?
