Through probate of my wife’s aunt there were about 10 properties catalogued and retitled. We have since found many deeds and leases from the aunt’s late husband who died in 1971.
How would we find out if any of these are still good? We have virtually no experience in this business.
You should move this to the state and county where located.
Thank you for the reply. But we found many, many deeds and leases from numerous counties, most in Texas but some in Oklahoma as well. The interesting thing is my wife’s uncle died in 1971, her aunt died in 1995. All oil and gas leases were probated from the aunt’s estate to her brother but he did nothing with them. We just recently discovered all of these and are now investigating. I did find his name in a Texas courthouse direct website.
You can look in www.okcountyrecords.com for most of the OK counties. Some of the missing ones have to be done individually.
