Oklahoma Pipeline Map

Where can I find a detailed map of pipelines in Oklahoma without paying for a subscription? I’ve searched a lot of sites. The NMPS doesn’t show the ones I’m looking for in Canadian County. Some are for natural gas and some for salt water.

What kind of pipelines are you looking for? Ones going to the wellhead or like midstream gathering lines?

That’s one thing I’m trying to determine. Don’t know if it goes to a well or continues on. It is a gas pipeline.

How big is the diameter of the line you found?

Steel? Poly? (Plastic)

There’s a site I used years ago to find maps of old midstream lines. I can’t remember the name of the site where that map collection was on. It was scans of old maps, not GIS.

The line was put in the the mid-1990s and I don’t have any of that info. I can call the company but wanted to find out as much as I could first.

If you know the pipeline company, they should have a reliable (albeit high-level) map on their website. Usually it’s in the “Shipper Information” section of the website.

Thanks for the idea. I checked. Unfortunately, their website is bare bones. I also tried the OK Corporation Commission website with no luck.

I gave a low effort reply - my bad. I see you already searched NPMS. Have you pulled the land records to see what companies, if any, gained easements or ROWs in the era you believe the pipeline was laid? Sometimes there is a plat/survey of the line. If there are abandoned wellsites that may also be in play. You could always call Okie 811 - they likely have more information.

Thank you. Yes, I had checked the land records. My parents did the ROW agreement with no addendums, no plat. I knew the direction it ran and thought it terminated in a well that has been plugged but wasn’t sure. Finally, just called the company and found that to be the case and that the line was recently capped and abandoned which is what I was wanting. Thanks again to everyone who replied.
