Oil leasing info

I have mineral rights in Custer County, in Sections 14, 13, 22, Township 13 and Range 18. Just wondering what’s going on there. I got an offer for $3,000 an acre but that seems kind of low to some I’ve seen on here for over $4,000 an acre.

There is a rig running immediately to the north in 1/12. OCC case in 22 by Anthem Arapaho for horizontal drilling. Very common for buyers to make offers right before new drilling.

Would need to know more information. Sections 14, 13, 22, etc. is not enough. Normally the location would be something like Section 14, 14N 18W. That would pinpoint the location. You could always go to Google and search OCC Well Finder and find if any wells are being developed. I can say that there is activity in Custer County though. With activity brings people offering to purchase your mineral rights.

It is in Section 29 14N 19W.

So same Township and Range in 3 sections.

22-13-18

So the landman told me this. “If Mewbourne or Devon were the drillers in your area, we would have offered $4,000+/-. The driller in your area is Anthem Arapaho.”

Just wondering why this makes a difference on what they offer?

Mewbourne and Devon are well known operators. Their perception of Anthem must be lower.

Got it. Thanks so much. Learning a lot.
