Does anyone know of any leasing activity in Divide county T163N R103W area?
Phoenix Energy has a lease in sec 36-163N-103W
Thank you.i have some rights in sections 10, 11 and 15 and was wondering if there was lease interest in those areas.
I only saw a lease in 36 in the last 24 months.
I am very new here. I also, found out that my mother and siblings had mineral rights handed down to them from dad. I think it was a shock to them as well. None had even known about it. She and my dad had passed away in the last couple of years. My dad never cared about it because they would get a check for about 25 dollars a month, or every other month. I’m not sure exactly. All I know is my dad thought it was a waste of time. Yet, I just started looking into it and it does seem like there has been a lot of activity over the years going all the way back to 1936 or longer up to 2023.
One legal locations shows 1-10 pages each listing 25 or so documents of drilling. I really can’t understand what I am looking at though. There are lots of start and stop dates of the drilling but no where can I find the amount of natural gas or oil that was or is being extracted. What is the quickest way to get a history of the oil produced? The last contract I saw was written for my mom to receive 25% of the production. I could only find one document that showed over 10million gallons of oil and 200+ million cubic ft gas or however they listed it. Surely, that would come out to more than 20 bucks a month right?
Is there a county office that would be able to provide oil produced in our sections the past 10 years? I really don’t want to go the lawyer route. I just want to make sure these companies are being honest. If no one is questioning them. I could see how things could just silently slip by.
Do you know the County and the section, township and ranges? You can find out the wells that go with those descriptions so that you can get your documents in order and find out what is going on. The ND GIS maps can show the well paths. And the production data is also available. Do you have a check stub that shows a well name and we can help you get started with some links. You are not the only mineral owner in a section, so you are sharing the revenue with many other folks.
