Oil company still woking on title ownership

Hello,

We own mineral rights in Howard County TX (Section 19 & 20 Block 32 T1S). We have signed a lease as well as as Ratification of Pooled units. I have been told by the oil company, SM Energy, that they are still waiting for the titles of land ownership from “the lawyers”. There are four wells that are currently producing and have been for over a year now. How long does it usually take for royalty payments to start? Do these oil companies wait until all the land titles are discovered before paying any of the owners? I keep being told by SM Energy to wait and that the have no information on these wells.
