Oil company not responding

Have you ever had an O & G company not respond to your calls or letters about royalties on the wells they manage which you have a royalty interest in?

Yes, with other companies. Also difficulty getting “stuck” proceeds from uncashed checks from when my father passed away / didn’t cash checks to when the interest was properly titled. Sorry…no insights from me, but I’m interested in hearing how others have handled this. Thanks.

The only operator that ever called me back was Petrovybe but I missed the call. I have tried a few times since but luck. None of the other operators responded at all. Very common thing I have heard.

Yes, usually not a good sign as I’m sure you have gathered. Have you tried to certified return receipt?

Yes, I sent them a letter certified, dead silence.

I had this problem. I looked up the CEO of the company found his email and emailed him. He emailed back and apologize and said someone would be contacting me. In about 10 minutes I had someone calling me.

Our mineral rights are in Utah. Experiencing this as well. I called the Utah Oil & Gas Auditor department and was told that if the operator doesn’t reply to let them know. It is their job to intercede for the mineral owners.

I found a landman that will hopefully begin working with us and if there are any problems, I will reach back out to the Auditor’s office. You may see if the state(s) where you have rights have a similar department.

All the time. About none of them respond these days.
