my wife owns mineral rights in section 18 TS6N R86W. Is there any present activity or future activity in this area that anyone knows about? Thanks for any information.

After Shell and Quicksilver pulled out because of disappointing wells there isn't much of anything going on in Routt. Routt County officials certainly brought some of it on themselves by not allowing permits, they'll take money given out by the state but they made it so difficult on operators to obtain permits that they gave up and moved over to Moffat County where the wells didn't produce as expected either. It seemed like they didn't have time to explore and develop mainly because of county officials. That was a tremendous amount of activity with most of the Southern half of the county getting leased, I doubt any major activity will happen again for many years, if ever. Like most of the Niobrara activity throughout Colorado, it started out with very big hopes after Jake and turned out to be mostly disappointing.
Thanks for your quick reply.
