Does anyone know if there have ever been an oil exploration in Evergreen Alabama?
I was told that a geological survey was done in Evergreen Alabama and there was no oil or minerals ever found other than gravel.

I called the geology society in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and spoke to a geologist. He said that they get their evaluations from oil companies or counties with regard to minerals in Alabama; therefore, an evaluation or survey is based on reports they get from sources, not typically a study.
