Have been contacted by a Landman interested in leasing mineral rights in Lea County, New Mexico, specifically Township 17S, Sections 3 and 13, Range 37E. Does anyone know of any recent activity in these areas? If so, is anyone familiar with the average lease bonus and royalty interest for leases in these areas? Thanks in advance for any information or feedback.
Can’t comment on the bonus amounts or royalties as they have filed memorandum of leases, but there is quite active leasing in 17S-37E. Mostly MRC Permian and Dogwood. Matador filed in permit in 2025 for Monika 1411COM 133H in sec 11/14.
