I have received a lease for my interest in oil and gas in Tyler co. WV. I think there is around 60 acres. It does not state what my interest is, or how much. How do they not know what my interest is? How do I know what to expect?

Go into GROUPS at the top of this page and join Tyler county, WV group. Read the postings and then start asking questions.
These operators know all about your O&G interests. It's all filed at the courthouse. And the onerous leases they offer are NOT in your best interest. Understanding and negotiating an O&G lease isn't "small stuff."
You might want to think about hiring a Mineral Manager to work in your best behalf and to protect your interest.

IMO, the statement you just made, (Understanding and negotiating an O&G lease isn't "small stuff") can't be written or spoken enough. Again, IMO, if a person can't afford to get some expert help when leasing their minerals, then they would be better off not leasing at all and just sitting this one out.
