We live in MS but have mineral rights in LaSalle County, TX. Does anyone know about any new drilling in this area? We have got low ball offers for our mineral rights over the last few years. The RRC site and GIS Map lags so far behind, it is impossible to figure out anything. I did see on the Shale XP site that our net min right acreage had gone up recently. I am curious if there are new rigs or fracking taking place on the Reeves unit, or other leases nearby.
The county is large, so please give a block, abstract name and number, plus section, so that we can give activity.
It is listed as Survey 1779, block 14 on the RRC GIS map. I am mostly interested in well 7, 3, 4 and 5. I have heard that well 7 has been drilled and is in the completion and testing phase. Well 7 is a lateral Crescent well I think, but the other wells are now operated by Proline and Petrovybe.
I think you mean abstract 1779, section 14.
Reeves 3 Drilled in 1994 Proline is the operator. Still online.
Reeves 4 Drilled in 2004 Petrovybe is the operator. Still online.
Reeves 5 Drilled in 2006 Petrovybe is the operator. Still online.
Reeves 7 is an expired permit. I only see a permit from back in 2008.
Wouldn’t be too surprised to see horizontal wells someday. Surrounded by them. Probably why you got offers…This is the latest info I have found. Enterprise Products has been at Reeves well 7 and 2A since Jan.
As of late March 2026, RRC records for the Reeves Unit (Lease #01- 140193) show that Crescent Energy’s new Reeves #7 is currently in the completion and testing phase, while the older Reeves A #2 continues to show steady, low-volume production typical of the area’s history. The Railroad Commission’s Production Data Query (PDQ). provides the following breakdown: • Reeves #7 (AP| 42-283-32174): • Status: Listed as “Permitted” with recent activity. While full commercial flow (monthly
You can check for a frac on the #7 at www.fracfocus.org.
