Desk and Derrick published a “D&D Standard Oil Abbreviator” a number of years ago and I’ve found it to be very handy. I got mine from Abe Books.com for around $5 including shipping, so not a costly but very handy reference. It is small however about 200 pages of oil related abbreviations.
