I just received the signing bonus check. Could someone tell me how long it takes to start receiving royalty checks?
How long is the primary term of your lease?
5 years is the total lease.
Then the oil company has up to five years to drill a well. So, if you just recently signed the lease, they may drill immediately, in the near future, or even possibly not at all.
