Offers to sell

I’m getting more offers to buy mineral rights that I have.

Township 159 N, range 100 W, Williams County section 32: NE

Township 159 N, range 100 W Williams county, section 35: SE

Interest is mostly section 32 right now. Is there a way to know what is happening or where I can find out. Is it a good time to sell? I guess I’d like to know if something is happening right now and not sure how to find out.

Thank you

Looks like three horizontal wells were drilled in 2019 in 29/32, but not completed. One other was dry. Someone may be coming back in to complete them or do something.Phoenix Capital just did a leaese in 2024, so they are a relatively new player in the space.

I see a new permit by Kraken in 35, so that is probably why you are getting there. You should already be in pay on horizontals there already.

When you have multiple offers, something is usually going on behind the scenes. Personally, I wait to see what develops.

Thank you for replying. Where do I look to see this information?

I use a subscription service, but the same info is on the North Dakota gas commission website for the wells.

This link takes you to all the sections of the ND Industrial Commission oil/gas links. It shows the hearing dockets, the daily activity reports, a map, etc. Some of these require a subscription. I check the activity reports and hearing dockets each time they are updated. You can subscribe to hearing docket updates as well. dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/

Your section shows up in a September 25th hearing docket, case # 32119.

The gis map is available at

You will need to zoom into your T&R. Click on the well surface location and it will give you the name of the wells,

You can then download the monthly production report of all wells in North Dakota at

The wells are reported by field name. Your sections are in Blue Ridge field. I’ve underlined the four wells, three in 34 and one in 32.

Maybe you could provide some more information. The sections that you describe have producing wells on them. Are you getting royalties? How many net mineral acres do you own?

The attached map shows one well in Section 32 that produced 1200 barrels of oil in June 2025. Section 35 has several wells that are producing. There is plenty of room for more drilling in both sections.

If you are not being paid royalties, then you need to figure out why.
