Offers to buy

I used Texas File to research my lease, and found out it was acquired by Comstock about a year ago. My current income is very small, compared to the offers, which range from 18,000 to over 200,000. The value is not in the existing well, but the depths below. I know that these offers include a profit for the buyer. My highest offer has been from San Saba. I suggest you read up on Comstock here, and google Jerry Jones Comstock to research what you have, and the potential. Be aware that if you sell, you will have to pay capital gains taxes, which means you have to provide the IRS with a value from when you acquired it, not always easy to get. Lots of posts on here about that very question. Your current lease is held by production and probably has a lower royalty rate than would be offered today. And if you sell, get a lawyer to make sure that there is not a clause letting the buyer acquire all of your interests in Leon County, when you think you are only selling one.

Leon County is very hot. New pipeline, new drilling technology. You are in a sweet spot. I am personally amused by the wildly divergent offers, and look forward to the day when there is new activity on my minerals. MineralIQ sends me a weekly activity update with my check information, so I can see the activity close to my minerals. Hope this helps.
