In the last 2-3 weeks I have received letters from three different groups offering to buy my royalty interest, not my mineral rights. I live in N. Texas, specifically N. Richland Hills and have been getting sporadic royalty payments since 2012 from the Kyle unit. I did get a quote from one of them out of curiosity, but I don't plan on selling. I can see how this would be a good opportunity for someone who needs a lump sum now, rather than getting small payments every 2-3 months.
Just wondering if anyone has any input on this ?
Most people get offers in Texas at least once a year. If you are getting multiple offers out of the blue, there is probably a new permit, re-entry, and or re-entry with good numbers and they are trying to get the interest before you see an increase in money. What is the County and well name?
These are the first I have gotten. Well is in Tarrant County and the name is Kyle. Our first royalties came in July 2012, but they were for production in Late 2011. The info I got in the NRH website said 5 wells have been drilled at that site but they have permits to drill 16. I did notice another drill rig go up a few weeks ago.
I have heard from others in that area that are getting offers also. They declined the offers as gas prices are slowly rising.
