We were contacted by Chesapeake today. Does anyone know the going rate in Wetzel County for offer to purchase our mineral rights per net acre? We don’t want to get cheated and have been toying with the idea. These mineral right were passed down to my husband and have to be split with his 6 siblings so we feel responsible to make sure we get the best offer. Anyone have input? Thanks!

Though the market is down, if AMP has contacted you, production is soon to commence from a well(s) on your tract and I would not settle for anything less than $6,000.00 per net mineral acre. A Net Mineral Acre (NMA) is calculated as: If you own 25% of an eighty acre parcel, you own twenty net mineral acres ~ NMA.
