Offer to lease mineral rights. Sections 2-1N-2W & 35-2N-2W

Received a letter from McLinn Land Services to lease. I’ve learned that my grandmother left these to me when she passed. I don’t have any ownership documentation. I don’t have any experience with mineral rights. Advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Mark,

Friend me (blue image above has directions) and I can walk you through it. Don't lease until you know what you have and know what you need to have in your lease.

Mark,

I have run a lot of the title in those 2 sections. Send me an email with your name and your grandmother’s name and the specific legal description if you have it and I will see if you are in the tracts I have run. Maybe I can at least confirm what McLinn is telling you as far as your amount of interest. No charge if I already have the information.

Can a forum reader update me on current lease terms being offered in these sections, please? Continental is leasing again through Red Sky, offering $800 and a 1/5, three years with a two-year kicker.

Mark,

Rimrock, who was going to be drilling the well in these Sections, filed an order dismissing the pooling.

They said they would not be drilling the well. It is always possible they may come back to it, but it looks like it has dropped on their priority list. Did you lease?

I have a fractional interest in Section 4-2N-2W that is currently unleased. If anyone knows someone that might be leasing in that area, would you let me know?
